Offers US medical students a chance to attend the 2024 AAN Annual Meeting, helping stimulate students' interest in pursuing the field of neurology through a personalized experience that will expose them to diverse neurologic subspecialties, the broad spectrum of career pathways, and the many new therapeutic advances in the field.
Benefits
Recipients will receive:
- Registration, Airfare and Three nights lodging from Saturday, April 13, 2024 through Monday, April 15, 2024
- Certificate of Recognition and acknowledgement at applicable Annual Meeting Medical Student events/programs
- Tailored experience: Required and suggested programming and events to attend, increasing engagement with content and colleagues to create a unique Annual Meeting experience, including meet and greets, the Medical Student Symposium on Sunday, April 14, 2024, and the Trainee & Faculty Networking Reception on Monday evening, April 15, 2024.
Eligibility
- Students must be in good standing at a US medical school.
- Preference will be given to first- and second-year medical students, and to those involved with SIGN. If more than one application is received from the same institution and they are deemed equal, the awarding of the scholarship will be determined by the date/ time the application is received.
- Applicants from the same institution are encouraged to apply; however, the scholarship may be given to no more than one student per institution with situational exceptions. Medical students may not receive or accept more than one AAN scholarship to the Annual Meeting.
To be considered for the scholarship, Medical Students must complete the online application and submit the following materials. An application will NOT be considered if the application and supporting documents are not complete.

- Statement from the nominee describing their interest in a career in neurology, future goals for contribution in neurology, and plans to maximize the AAN Annual Meeting opportunity (2-3 specific goals to attain by receiving this opportunity).
- Confirmation of support from a faculty member at the student's school.
