Neuroscience Course Director Excellence Award
About
Neuroscience Course directors are dedicated educators who devote considerable time and energy to provide a valuable educational experience. Such experiences are often the first exposure of students to the field of neurology. This award recognizes individuals who have developed a robust educational program for pre-clerkship medical students.
Benefits
A qualified course director or a pair of co-directors will be selected annually to receive a certificate of recognition from the AAN. If no nominations are viewed as qualified by the selection committee, no award will be given that year.
Eligibility
Nominees must be an Active AAN member, which is defined as a member who is in good standing with their current dues. Posthumous nominations will not be accepted.
Nominees must be current Neuroscience course directors, co-directors, associate directors, or assistant directors who have been in the position for at least one year.
Priority may be given to members who have not previously received a Director Award (program, clerkship, or neuroscience course).
Only one nomination per institution will be accepted. Nominations are open to course co-directors if responsibilities are shared. In instances where universities have more than one campus, one nomination per campus will be accepted.
