This award seeks to engage the resident and fellow community to acknowledge and explore the experiences of trainees and the world of neurology through creative writing.

The winning essay will be published as a Neurology® Resident & Fellow Section “Right Brain” subcategory. 

Eligibility

Applicants must be active AAN Junior members. 

• Essay submissions may include original works of fiction or nonfiction, poetry, and reflections on the interaction between neurology and history, literature, ethics, theology, sociology, anthropology, philosophy, poetry, theater, film, fine arts, or the media.
• Submissions must:
  • Be original work
  • Not exceed 1,500 words
  • Adhere to the Neurology® Information for Authors guidelines
